Pop-up retail is a trend of opening short-term sales spaces that last for days to weeks before closing down, often in places where you wouldn’t usually expect to find such spaces.
A pop-up restaurant is a temporary restaurant, which may operate from a private home, a factory space, or anywhere else that you wouldn’t ordinarily expect a restaurant to be.
Pop-up theatre is a type of theatrical production that doesn’t have a permanent home. It’s a performance that can and does happen anywhere, often where you least expect it.
And so tonight, very much in the pop-up spirit – a group of 10 of us are playing what we are calling a pop-up gig.
A once-off gig, a new line-up, playing a new and fun set, in a venue where you wouldn’t normally expect to see a gang of 10 rocking out, especially on a Tuesday night!
So – it’s happening tonight (Tuesday 6th) at 10pm in the Strand Bar, Strandhill, Sligo. And it’s free!
